In plotting out your trial, the first thing to keep in mind is that real-time voice-over-IP communications can be done today in three ways:
PC to PC: Between users at PC workstations on both ends of the call, whether those devices are local (on the same building or campus LAN) or remote to each other. There must be IP connectivity and sufficient bandwidth remaining on the network; if utilization of a link on a private IP network is below 50 percent, there should be sufficient bandwidth to add some VOIP conversations. With most systems, you need anywhere from 14 to 100 kbps of bandwidth per concurrent voice conversation.
