Do Your Research

Before hiring a landscaper to work with, do your research. If you hire a landscaper whose work you do not respect or even admire, you will have a bad relationship from the get-go. Your landscapers should come highly recommended. Also, take the time to visit the properties they’ve worked on. The more you feel comfortable with their style and design, the better you will feel about working with them.

Make a Plan

As a do-it-yourselfer, you most likely already have a fantastic idea in mind about how you want your landscaping to look. Draw out your plan as best you can. Hiring landscapers to assist you with bringing your plan to life does not mean you are no longer involved.
