Potty training your puppy is important when they are young. Once they get beyond 1 year old, it is going to be much more difficult to teach your puppy potty training.

Here are some tips on how to potty train a puppy.

Teach a specific word at a time. Keep repeating that word or phrase. By doing so, it will become a command to your dog.

Mark the place where your puppy pee. Do you notice that your puppy will often go the same spot to pee. The reason is because they recognize the smell and it tells them to go back there. That means, if your puppy has pee on a spot such as a carpet, make sure to remove the odor completely. Otherwise, your puppy will pee on that spot again.
