The single red rose can be a very simple and effective way of saying “I’m sorry.” It speaks for itself. Someone getting one knows there is a reason to say it, and they know that is why they are getting the rose. There doesn’t have to be a card attached to get the meaning across. The sorry of a single red rose can be something simple, or it can indicate that someone has hurt you deeply, but they regret every single moment of what has happened. In this case, a dozen seems to be overkill when saying sorry.
