Vintage Hat Styles Are Back in Fashion
Every decade has had its standouts, ranging from the bizarre to classic remakes, some of which are still popular today. One such classic is the broad-brimmed, beribboned wool hat, made famous by Audrey Hepburn in the early 1960s. You’ll find such hats in the vintage shops, as well as at the mall. During the 1920s and 1930s, hats made entirely of feathers, laid over a wool base, were extremely fashionable. Some examples of this vintage hat style sported a single, but outrageous feather, which added height to the wearer and pizazz to the outfit. This feathered style of vintage hat is a popular item in today’s vintage accessory market.
