Got Wordpress? Ping It.
When used properly, having a good ping list in your Wordpress blog will help it get indexed quickly. It wasn’t too long ago that we were exchanging huge lists of pinging sites, but as time went on, many of these ping services were no longer responsive.
If you’re not sure how to install pings in your WordPress blog, simply follow these steps:
- Click Settings from your administrative dashboard.
- From settings, select “Writing.”
- Scroll down to the “Update Settings” form at the bottom of the page. You will see that by default, WordPress includes rpc.pingomatic.
- Paste your ping list into the “Update Settings” and approve.
