Some of these diets require you to dramatically cut calories or even stop eating carbohydrates.

While cutting calories or avoiding carbs might appear to be a short-term solution to weight loss problems these strategies may be ineffective in the long run. Your body needs a certain number of calories to thrive, and the right balance of carbohydrates as well. It is far more important to learn how and when to eat rather than depriving yourself.

Does this mean you can eat anything you want when trying to lose fat? Of course not.
