With all of the different types and styles of golf equipment out there today it can be quite confusing for somebody just starting out. This is why it is advisable to get a beginner golf set. If you make this choice, it is usually a lot less expensive and it takes all the work out of the decision-making. Beginning golfers need to learn how to develop their skills, and with time these should improve. You only need to select clubs that are compatible with your ability, and as you get better you can upgrade to higher-quality clubs.

You need to start off with the basics and get them down first so there is no reason to spend a lot of money on a lot of different clubs. For example, a straight up ordinary beginner golf set could contain a Fairway 3 Wood, 450cc Driver, Irons, Hybrid 4-Wood, a Silver Diamond Putter and a stand bag. Around 14 clubs should be sufficient. Some people may select long irons instead of the hybrid; it’s a matter of personal preference. A lot of beginners like to use hybrids because they are multipurpose and that they perform the job of a fairway wood as well as the job of a long iron.
