Do More With Affiliate Tracking Software

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

Internet marketers have long known that the key to generating more sales is to get a solid network of affiliates working for you. Doing so extends your reach exponentially and allows you to cover much more virtual ground with minimal effort. Imagine having ads and links to your products on thousands of diverse websites instead of just the hundred or so domains that you own yourself. No one can deny that a great team of affiliates will do wonders for your bottom line. The only potential headache comes with keeping track of all the sales and commissions. If you’re relatively small-time and just work with a handful of trustworthy individuals, then you could probably get away with basic bookkeeping on an Excel spreadsheet.

Bright Lights Of Solar Garden Lanterns

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

The only other toys that I liked as much of my Winnie the Pooh toys were my Disney toys and solar garden lanterns. My dad had been a great toy collector in his day, so I had a good combination of old and new. Not only did I have Mickey Mouse dolls, but I also had first edition collectible Disney watches, old Disney figurines, and other toys they don’t make anymore.

Local Business and Internet Marketing

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

For any company, internet marketing is important. But even for traditional brick and mortar businesses, even those who don’t sell anything online but cater for local customers, internet marketing can expand their business and give the company more exposure locally. If you own a small company that relies on local business alone, don’t discount the power of internet marketing.

For a local company, internet marketing giving you exposure to people thousands of miles away is pretty pointless.  There’s no need to invest in what can be expensive marketing campaigns like pay-per-click or network-wide banner advertising, for instance. You know your target market—local people.  So the only promotion and advertising that will do you any good are promotions which target that market specifically.

If you don’t have a website already, then get one. If you don’t know enough HTML to get a web presence up then by all means pay someone to do it for you.  What might seem like an unnecessary expense will actually become a very important marketing strategy tool.  You’ll also want to make sure that your website is search engine optimized for your local area, and it’s well worth learning how to do this yourself rather than paying an expert to do it for you.

When it comes to your company, internet marketing strategy with search engine optimization won’t be like the SEO efforts needed by an online company.  If you run a computer repair shop, for instance, you won’t want to focus your attention and money on very general keywords that might be good for an online business whose customers can come from anywhere.  You’ll want them optimized for your local area.  Computer repair Stourbridge, for instance, might be a good keyword for you.

While most of them involve the use of the Internet, there definitely are alternatives. However, one would have to be extremely confident in their products/services to avoid the web in this day and age. Cyberspace opens us up to such a greater audience. Take web publishing for example. Many people choose to build websites, web pages and blogs. The reason this is so appealing is because it costs you very little to nothing in order to get started. Once you create a unique blog or website, you can simply add url to search engines. This way your address will get indexed and available to come up in searches.

Advertising on the Internet

Monday, September 7th, 2009

Most know that in order to get people to find you, you have to have good advertising. Retail outlets put money into sales flyers, radio ads, television commercials, and even billboards. Some even have items they give away with their logo or company name on them. Those things don’t work as well when you are trying to bring in customers online, and most can’t afford to advertise on television when they want to get people to their web site. Instead, they have to rely on advertising on the Internet.

Good Advertisment Placement Practices

Saturday, August 15th, 2009

Let’s say you sell vitamin and mineral supplements on your site. You have a page which contains an article on anti-aging skin care. Good advertisement placement practices dictates that the ads which appear to the right of the article text should target the needs of the person reading that article. For example, affiliate ads for wrinkle-reducing creams, collagen creams and exfoliants are all products the reader may be interested in. You can also place links within your article which point to your own product store. For example, your article details the benefits of antioxidants and particular supplements. Create a hyperlink which the reader can follow to your supplemental formula to address those issues.
