Different Kinds Of Free Bible Study Guides

Saturday, September 6th, 2008

If you’re Christian, you may have been raised with the King James version of the Holy Bible as your family’s choice. However, there are plenty of other translations available, mostly differing in the style of the prose. Some argue that one version is better than another, one adhering more closely to the original meaning. If you want to make that decision for yourself, you can download every version that’s available. Almost all are free.
The NIV (New International Version) is a Bible that integrates the study notes into the Bible, page by page. The NKJV (New King James Version) is written in a more modern style, which some people prefer for readability. There are a number of other versions as well, including those ‘red letter’ versions which have all of the text attributed to Jesus printed in red letters for easy reference.

Advising About The Bible

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

The Bible is an debatable book, which is why there are so many Christian churches around today. But the True Bible Code turns the bible from an open to argument ocean of doctrinal confusion into a precise river of truth. Of course, the Bible is not the only book to claim divine inspiration, but it is particular in that it offers leaden evidence to back its claims. The Bible ‘proved’ that it was holy because people continually discovered brand new strategies to interpret it and found that this difficult, ancient set of documents cast light on situations that their authors could never have imagined. Understanding bible numerics can help you to better interpret the hidden meanings of the bible.

The Bible was written by different writers over an vast period of time, altogether the Old Testament. The writers of the Old Testament began with Moses, covering 12 centuries before Christ and continuing through the writers of the historical, poetical, instructive and prophetic books, together with the writers of the New Testament, writing over a period of 50 years. The Bible is a central book in our culture, just as the Koran is central in other nations. The shrewd commission to guide about both. The Bible has been translated from its original languages into the languages of people throughout the world. The first translation into English was by John Wycliffe in the 14th century.

Pleasing Guidelines About Jesus Christ

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

Jesus is the tip-top rebel: He stood against this world’s selfishness, went against society’s expectations. He did the illogical so that we could be free: free from hate, free from unforgiveness, free from lies, free from death. Jesus died without defending himself, died forgiving his enemies (us). Jesus at no time sleeps, he’s available 24/7 and he’s never too busy for us; when you speak you have his undistracted aid. Have you ever had your back against the wall with no help in sight?

Jesus was unjustly framed up and branded a criminal and executed. They killed him because he declared that the poor, the outcasts, the slaves, the throwaway people, the wretched of the earth, are the most beloved of God. Jesus came not merely to reveal to us the love of a heavenly Father but He also came to make indemnity for the sins of His people. As our gifted High Priest and Lamb of God, He would be wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities.

Jesus resists the impulse, believing in the power of love freely chosen. Jesus publicize his teachings. Within a few decades his followers comprised a religion clearly distinct from Judaism. Jesus came to earth to purvey the authentic Word, You can help promulgate the word of Jesus by forming your own Christian cell group with our christian bible group icebreakers guide.

The Property Of Prayers

Wednesday, February 20th, 2008

Christian parents, for the most part ill at ease mothers will always ask their children everyday, “Did you read your Bible? Did you pray?” In the life of Daniel, there was no one to induce him to pray in this manner. But yet, it was habitual for him to kneel down and pray 3 times a day, in his upper room, turning towards Jerusalem, praying and thanking before his God.

My beloved brothers and sisters, are you growing up spiritually seeking the Lord? I induce you to model yourself on Daniel, start to come into the presence of the Lord, learn to worship and pray in His presence. Anyway the perils plotted against Daniel by the surrounding enemies. As usual, Daniel knelt down and prayed to the Lord earnestly to deliver him, because his enemies plotted against him by manoeuvring the king to cast Daniel into the dens of lions. But the living God whom Daniel served and prayed to everyday delivered him from the lions’ mouths by shutting the lions’ mouths. It was not all, The king himself proclaimed to the whole world that the God of Daniel was ‘the living God, steadfast forever; His Kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed and His dominion shall endure to the end’.

A sympathetic mother who live a holy life prayed everyday but her children used to make fun of her, and remarked, “Mother is always hankering after prayer and religion.” Her husband always rebuked her for disturbing his sleep by waking him up for prayers early in the morning. Anyway, this mother continued to wake up early in the morning to praise the Lord with songs and prayed loudly in the presence of her family. Because of her faithfulness, the Grace of the Lord descended upon her family. The new blessings bestowed made her husband and children turned toward God. The whole family was transformed into a divine blessed family because of the mother’s relentless prayer of optimism.

Dear brothers and sisters, do not despair, but be filled with optimism and start seeking God through your relentless prayers. The Lord will hear your christian prayers and bless your family!

Ash Wednesday

Saturday, February 9th, 2008

In the Western Christian calendar, Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent.

It occurs forty days before Easter not counting Sundays (which are not included in Lent); it occurs forty-four days before Good Friday counting Sundays. Its placement varies each year, according to the date of Easter. The date can vary from early February to as late as the second week in March.

Some Christians treat Ash Wednesday as a day for remembering one’s mortality. Masses are traditionally held on this day at which attendees are blessed with ashes by the priest ministering the ceremony. The minister marks the forehead of each celebrant with black ashes, leaving a mark that the worshipper traditionally leaves on his or her forehead until sundown, before washing it off…

Advent

Saturday, December 1st, 2007

The season of advent (Latin Adventus, sc. Redemptoris, ” the coming of the Saviour “), is a holy season of the Christian church, the period of preparation for the celebration of the nativity or Christmas. It is the beginning of the Christian year.

An advent wreath is a ring of evergreen cuttings surrounding or integrating four candles, used for a non-liturgical devotion by some Christians during the season of Advent. Three of the candles are violet-colored, and one is rose-colored. On the first evening of Advent (a Saturday), one violet candle is lit. On successive Saturdays, the second violet candle is added, then the rose candle, and finally, the third violet candle. The wreath is meant to represent God’s eternity. The violet candles symbolize faithful expectation, and the rose candle joy and hope…

The following story is an after death experience…

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

The following story is an excerpt from an after death experience story:

The screen came to life with a full-sized picture of me, great resolution – picture looked real. I had not been paying attention to the angelic creatures, but they had quietly circled around me isolating me from everything else. Because of their enormous size, it also became darker - I guess to see the screen better. It also felt as if there were more of them.

Jesus began to speak to me again “While on earth there was only one simple requirement for you to secure your home in my Heavenly Kingdom for all eternity. That requirement was simply to allow me to come into your heart. I knocked on your door, you needed to open the door and let me in. Since you refused entry to me while on earth, you will not be allowed entry into my Heavenly Kingdom.”

Baptist Forums are Valuable

Sunday, April 15th, 2007

There are many religious forums on the internet these days, but not many Fundamental Baptist Forums are dedicated to promoting church growth. In fact, there are not many Fundamental Baptist Websites on the internet. It seems like you spend more time looking for good material on the internet than you actually spend reading good material. Fundamental Baptist Churches need to learn how to put more of their information on the internet, buy using forums and websites.

The King James Bible

Sunday, April 8th, 2007

Patience. I am thankful for those who had patience with me! I spent twenty years of my life figuring things out. For twenty years I ministered from the KJV Bible while believing that there were only two issues that could be understood by a non-textual critic scholar. First, to change from the Authorized Version would bring needless division. Second, the only difference between the KJV and a modem translation was the updated language.

King James Bible

Thursday, April 5th, 2007

The Bible has always been, and will always be the greatest book ever written on this earth. It has been copied more than any other book, it has been written in more languages than any other book, and it is the most controversial book ever written. Because of its popularity it has been translated many times into many different versions. This has created a lot of confusion over the years, but with a little study and an open mind, it is easy to see that the King James Bible is Gods Word for the English speaking people.

Most book stores are moving on to newer versions of the Bible and putting the King James Bible on the back shelf, or they are not even carrying it. It seems that you have to look for fundamental baptist books in order to find a good King James Version Bible

The True Word of God

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2007

The King James Bible has always been recognized by scholars as the true word of God, but with thousands of other versions out there, many people are getting confused. Many people ask, how do you know which one is best? How do you know their sources? Why is the King James Version better than other Bible Versions? Does the King James Version have mistakes?

King James Version

Sunday, April 1st, 2007

I still have my mothers Bible, it is  the same one she read to me as a child, in my office. I’ve had it there for years. I don’t know how old it is, but I suspect it is 55 or 60 years old. It is the same Bible she used to hold up. I was thumbing through it the other day. On the inside, it says on the title page, “King James Bible.” That’s what it says. You know it worked. It’s amazing how well Mama did before she found out that it wasn’t the Word of God.

I’ve been going to Baptist churches for 51 years. Every pastor I’ve ever had preached from the King James Bible. He always said to the crowd, “Open your Bibles and let’s hear what the Lord says.” These pastors were not unfortunate enough to have sat at the feet of those with lower education– which calls itself “higher education.”

Liberal Mayor of NYC

Sunday, March 18th, 2007

WASHINGTON - Presidential contender Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of ultraliberal New York City, supports a woman’s right to choose an abortion, domestic partnership benefits for gay couples and gun-control measures — and he’s a Republican.

Strikingly, such moderate positions haven’t thus far impeded his efforts to win the GOP nomination.

But his rivals still have hope they will.

“We don’t all agree on everything. I don’t agree with myself on everything,” Giuliani says at nearly every campaign appearance, a stump-speech line that allows him to allude to — and then dismiss — his differences with cultural and religious conservatives on social issues.

“We do believe in many of the same things,” he assures his audiences.

Giuliani then emphasizes his mayoral successes in reforming welfare, reducing spending, cutting taxes and curbing crime. He talks of challenges facing the United States — fighting terrorism and improving education. And, he usually only mentions hot-button social issues directly when asked about them.

St Patrick

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007

According to Irish lore regarding St. Patrick, he was actually born in Wales around 385 A.D. and given the name Maewyn. As a youth he was far from being a saint and actually considered himself to be a pagan. Around the age of 16 he was kidnapped by pirates who raided his village and sold into slavery in Ireland where he was forced to work as a shepherd. It was during his captivity of about 6 years that he became closer to God.

It is said that he had a vision that directed him to a ship which allowed him to escape to France where he then studied to be a priest under St. Germain, the bishop of Auxerre for about twelve years. During this time he felt his calling was to bring pagans to Christianity.

Patrick, as he was now called desired to fulfill his calling by going back to Ireland to convert the pagans there to Christianity but he was overlooked by his superiors of the church who sent St. Palladius as the first bishop in Ireland. Two years later Palladius was sent to Scotland and Patrick got his wish and was made the second bishop to Ireland…
