Fireplace Mantels in Europe

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

My husband and I just got back from our European vacation, we had a great time. We stayed at so many lovely places; my favorite was a hotel we stayed at in London. The building was beautiful; it reminded me of a castle.  The furniture was perfect, everything was color and era coordinated and the service was outstanding. I immediately got ideas for home renovations, my husband has agreed on a few things as well.  We loved the Fireplace Mantels in the hotel, and have seen a few we might want to consider for our family room,  I know there are probably many places people know about,  hopefully some friends can refer me to a few places they know of.

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

What could be the best winter holiday? Skiing down a slope of pristine snow while joyously watching your family having the same enjoyment is as close to perfection as anyone can get. The wind is in your face, the weather is just cold enough for snow, the resort is perfect, and everyone in the family is having the time of their lives. Then you wake up. The resort is old, there is little to no snow because the resort is too cheap to use the fake snow, and your bed is so old you can’t sleep. What is wrong with this picture? Why isn’t the dream the reality? Because someone didn’t do his homework. Before booking a skiing vacation, you should research, research, and then do more research. Your vacation and your standing in the family depend on your making the right decision about the ski resort, so do your homework before you book.

Basic Facts About Scuba Diving

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

Of all the water sports, Scuba diving is one of the most popular ones. Scuba is the acronym for self contained underwater breathing apparatus. Specialized scuba equipment allows the diver to breathe underwater for long periods of time. Snorkeling is different because the swimmer breathes directly from the atmosphere through a mouth tube. During scuba diving, the swimmer carries a supply of air underwater, and there is no need to surface until the air tank is empty. The scuba diver does exhale the breathed air through a snorkel like tube into the water. Both activities require the diver to wear special eye masks to enhance underwater vision.

Through the ages people have attempted to find words to describe Niagara Falls and they have failed. Words alone cannot explain the experience of seeing this wonder of nature. The Basics of Travel Insurance

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

When you get home from your latest holiday vacation, you can start planning the next one with all the experiences and memories that are still fresh in your mind. You plan, you research, you buy tickets, you purchase exotic excursions, and you pay megabucks for the vacation of a lifetime. Now, what is wrong with this picture. Nothing, you say. Come closer, grasshopper, you have so much to learn.

“The best laid plans of mice and me often go awry.” Robert Burns could not have put vacation planning woes into a better sentence if he had tried. All of the buying and planning can easily go for naught when emergencies hit. Whether it’s a hurricane, a snowstorm, or a personal emergency, stuff happens. The year can be going along perfectly until the week or even the day before the vacation starts and then boom-a crisis or emergency hits. The vacation is off; the money is wasted. Or is it? If you truly planned ahead and purchased travel insurance, you are golden. The insurance will take care of everything and you can start re-planning that dream vacation as soon as your crisis is over.
