Monday, January 11th, 2010

When you eat a meal, all that food hits your stomach and the rest of the digestive tract at the same time.  For a body with a neurological disorder, chances are something is going to get mucked up. This can lead to a round of constipation.

However, if the person who is suffering with Rhett Syndrome and constipation eats smaller meals at intervals throughout the day, it gives the body less to deal with at a time, making it more likely it can handle the food load. The better able the body is to handle the food being brought in, the less of a chance there is of getting constipation.

What are the Cigarettes Effects on Children?

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

What are the Cigarettes Effects on Children? Perhaps the only thing a smoker needs to know is that the effects that passive smoking has on young children is that it’s dangerous. In actual fact, passive smoking is harmful to the health of any man woman or child of any age, but as always it’s the very young and the very old who are most at risk. The most ‘at risk’ group are those kids who hav been brought up in a family of heavy smokers. Some parents have smoked in the house around their children, smoked in the cars with their children present, and anywhere else the kids happen to be. Any child that has been raised breathing in second hand smoke over the years, is not going to be as fit or as healthy as a child who has had limited or no regular exposure to environmental tobacco smoke, also known as ETS. Thankfully, society is beginning to see the error or its past ways, and the children of today are more likely to be raised with a lot less exposure overall to cigarette smoke and the drug nicotine.
